Zlaté piesky
Zlaté piesky is a natural lake on the edge of Bratislava. It is wide approximately 400m and 30m deep. In the middle of the lake there is a small island which is a good point where to swim or drive the water bicycle. The "beach" is mostly covered by small rocks and the surrounding is grassy, what is an ideal surface for many summer sport activities.

However, there also two non-payed areas. First one is close to the wakeboard tow. This one is not that developed and significantly smaller, but offers also a bufet. This area is more suitable for the young people, not families
The second non-payed area is the nudist beach on the opposite site of the lake, accesible from the same place as the previous area.
Eating
The lake is very famous and often crowded during the hot weekends. It offers a wide variety of food and drinks - from fast-food to restaurants. Palace shopping center lays a few meters away and here you can find Tesco. The prices are low, however, a bit higher than in the surrounding.

Get there by public transport
The tram stop "Zlaté piesky" is the terminus for the tram number 4, which departs also from the city center. Then, buses number 53, 56 and 65 have its stop here.
The non-payed area is accessible by the bus number 53, and the stop is called Kon-Rad. From here there is only a few meters to the "beach".
Get there by car
The lake lays nearby the exit road from Bratislava, right behind the Palace shopping center. It is possible to park right in front of the entrance to the lake area, or on the Palace shopping center parking.
